Powered by Community Capital Advisors (CCA), the Women Capital International (WCI) is a mission driven CDFI paradigm - an emerging fund of funds (FOF), advancing gender wealth parity - assisting women and historically marginalized populations increase their equity stakes (shares of wealth) in the broader economy. The WCI's  cooperative market-based approach is a tiny but significant pillar in addressing wealth inequalities  - collaborating with diverse stakeholders in the CDFI and financial services industry to assist underserved markets build women-led businesses and socioeconomic-impact ecosystems on main street and in distressed neighborhoods. As Mark Cuban put it, assisting them (women and girls) build personal growth and productive assets that increase in values, long-term - and as the World Bank's Mahmoud Mohieldin encouraged, push towards more women-prioritized solutions.

The WCI offers concrete strategy of starting a fund with the explicit intentions and ultimate goal of transferring women's wealth building decision-making to women - assisting them to, as Sheryl Sandberg encouraged, "lean in" to fulfill their heart-felt goals and ambitions. To say to themselves, the buck stops here! This is the heart of the WCI, and in many ways, it is also the impetus of the CDFI industry.

The WCI aimed at raising $100,000 by December 2020 for organizing purposes, $3 million by 2023 and $7 million by 2025 - building a foundational threshold of $10 million over six to seven years. The Philadelphia Commerce Department has endorsed the WCI and may provide technical assistance grant. WSFS bank and others have shown similar interests.
