Why Our Work Matters

We Care About What We Do

Community Capital Advisors (CCA) is a result-driven small nonprofit that produces oversized outcomes. The organization was born in the 1990s when Tony Campolo, PhD - a former spiritual advisor to President Bill Clinton sent a group of Eastern University graduates to assist a former Philadelphia Eagle with economic development projects in North Philadelphia, including a credit union and charter school. Since 1998, we have provided various forms of technical assistance to grassroots groups, including the formation of CDFIs, STEM education ecosystems, and social-impact projects.

Teach a Girl to Fish” - is our revised mission since 2018 - primarily focused on Gender & racial wealth parity - lifting women, girls & historically disadvantaged populations to fulfill their highest potentials and ambitions - and so, lifting others. As Melinda Gates noted in, The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World,

“When you lift up women, you lift up everybody – families, communities, entire countries.”
